Swedish painter and designer. He studied in Stockholm and Paris until 1885. Between 1895 and 1914
he was employed as the art director of the Rörstrands Porcelain Factory in Lidköping. In 1896 his
works were shown in Stockholm. The Fritz Gurlitt Gallery in Berlin also staged an exhibition of his
works. Wallander developed the characteristic style of Rörstrand porcelain. At the Paris International
Exhibition of 1900 his porcelain works achieved wide acclaim.
