Ceramic and porcelain artist. She was born in Budapest in 1950. She graduated in porcelain design in 1974 from the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts (today: Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design) under the guidance of master ceramicist Imre Schrammel. After graduation she worked as a designer at the Herend Porcelain Factory. Since 1981, she has been a freelance artist. She shares a studio with her husband, Károly Szekeres. In 1991-1992, she was a founding member of the TERRA Group. Her most important professional distinctions include awards at the National Ceramics Biennial, Pécs, Hungary (1978, 1984, 1990); the Design Competition, Valencia, Spain (1978); the National Silicate Industry Design Triennial, Kecskemét, Hungary (1979); the International Ceramics Competition, Faenza, Italy (1983); and the International Ceramics Biennial, Vallauris, France (1984). Her works have been exhibited in numerous Hungarian and international exhibitions and can be found in several Hungarian public collections.
