Sculptor and ceramist. After finishing his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, he moved to
Pécs, working as a designer for the Zsolnay Factory between 1899 and 1916. He designed utility
items of figurái ornamentation in luxury execution, as well as designing a number of decors,
especially after 1905. Having a bent for modelling, he made fashionable female figures and genre
scenes, which became so popular that in the 1930s, when production in the factory was resumed, he
himself renewed his plaster models.
