Painter and graphic artist. Krenek studied at the Vienna College of Applied Art under Koloman Moser, Willibald Schulmeister, Alfred Roller, Felician Myrbach and Carl Otto Czeschka. In 1908, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, where he was a pupil of Heinrich Lefler. In addition to his fine art activity, he worked in several areas of applied art, designing textiles, posters, postcards, book decoration and stained glass windows. He was a member of the Österreichischer Werkbundnak and also designed for the Wiener Werkstätte.
