Jensen, Georg (1866 - 1935)

Danish sculptor, jeweller, goldsmith and designer. After 1884 he studied to become a goldsmith;
between 1887 and 1892 he studied sculpture. In 1882 he was awarded a gold medal by the Academy
of Copenhagen. After returning from Germany and Italy, he designed ceramics (faiance) tableware for
the company Aluminia; his works were shown at the Paris International Exhibition of 1900. In 1904
he founded a company which produced and marketed jewellery and silver objects in Copenhagen.
