A leading master of international Art Nouveau, mainly designing furniture and glasswork. As the founder of the Nancy School, he was one of the most influential artists of his time. In addition to his delicate and graceful furniture, it was largely his magnificent glasswork series - Verreries Parlantes, Poémes Vitrifés, Vase Noirs, Vases de Tristesse - which earned him renown.
