Ceramic artist, university professor.
He was born in Szekszárd in 1955.
In 1981, he graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts (today: Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design) in ceramics, where he studied under master ceramicist Árpád Csekovszky. He was awarded the Géza Gorka Prize for his diploma work.
In 1991-1992, he was a founding member of the TERRA Group.
He was awarded the Noémi Ferenczy Prize in 1997, the Mihály Babits Prize in 2008, and the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary in 2015.
He has won several prizes at the National Ceramics Biennial in Pécs, Hungary (1982, 1984, 1992, 1998, 2002).
He is a professor in the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts at the University of Pécs and president of the Foundation for Contemporary Ceramic Art.
His works can be found in several public collections in Hungary and abroad.
