Versatile craftsman, designer and graphic artist. One of the masters favoured by Siegfried Bing, he
was an Art Nouveau artist much in demand. He designed the facade and the interior decoration of the
Bing pavilion for the Paris International Exhibition of 1900. His main achievements included the
design of the ’’Chat Noir Cabaret” in Paris. He exerted a great influence on his contemporaries.
