Ceramist, porcelain manufacturer, art writer. The grandson of Mór Fischer. He studied in Paris for eight years, and then continued his studies in England and Germany. He was the head of the Herend Porcelain Factory from 1896 until his death. With his designs decorated using coulé (dripped glaze) technique and páte-sur-páte technique, he won a gold medal at the Paris International Exhibition of 1900. His work achieved great success at the international applied arts exhibition held at St. Petersburg in 1901. The jury of the St Louis World Exhibition of 1904 awarded his work another gold medal.
