Ceramic artist.
She was born in Tiszafüred in 1983.
She attended the Secondary School of the Visual Arts in Budapest, where she graduated in ceramics in 2003.
In 2003, she was awarded a prize for excellence in the National Artistic Drawing, Painting and Modelling Competition.
Between 2003 and 2008, she studied ceramics in the Silicate Design Department at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. In 2004 she began studying visual communication and environmental culture in the university’s teacher training programme.
During her university studies, she participated in Hungarian and international symposia (Kecskemét, 2005; Hódmezővásárhely, 2006; Siklós, 2007). In February and March 2007, she studied at the Ceramics Department of the Limerick Institute of Technology in Limerick, Ireland, on an Erasmus scholarship.
She graduated as a ceramic artist in 2008. Her capstone project (task A) won a special prize at the Mino International Ceramics Festival in Japan that same year.
Orsolya Csirke passed away in 2009 at the age of twenty-six. In Orsolya, the Hungarian and international ceramics world lost an extraordinarily promising talent.
