French medalist; his teachers at the École des Beaux- Arts in Paris included Ponscarme. He worked in Paris. His plaques and medals earned him a number of prizes (e. g., the Grand Prix in Rome in 1893, a silver medal at the Paris International Exhibition of 1900). His works were exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1892 onwards. He frequently used mythological themes in his works, which revealed the influence of Renaissance art.
