Painter, graphic artist, illustrator and teacher. Rudolf Boros graduated as an art teacher from the Mintarajziskola art school in Budapest in 1890. He went to teach in the Budapest Reálgimnázium secondary school in 1891, the Piarist main secondary school in Léva in 1893, and between 1894 and 1926, he taught in the state women’s industrial art school (Iparrajziskola) in Budapest. Between 1898 and 1905, he edited the Hivatalos Értesítő [Official Bulletin] of the National Association of Art Teachers. He was the author of several papers and a monograph on art teaching, the latter with his own illustrations and examples. He also made illustrations for the books of other authors. In 1906, he won a gold medal at the Milan International Exhibition. Many of his artworks have survived, and he also studied in the Bertalan Székely’s “master school”. His works appeared four times in the Szalon exhibitions in the Műcsarnok gallery between 1893 and 1898.
