Baumann, Ludwig (1853 - 1936)

Austrian architect and designer. His major works in Vienna include the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Bratmann and Ambruster palaces and the Hiller House. He designed the Austrian pavilions for the Paris International Exhibition of 1900, the Turin International Arts and Crafts Exhibition of 1902 and the St Louis World Exhibition of 1904; in 1902 he organized an exhibition in London displaying the work of Austrian designers.
