Austrian architect, designer, art writer and a student of Otto Wagner (1841-1958). After 1900 he was
a member of Vienna’s Secession group of artists. His works were shown at the group’s 8th exhibition.
Primarily an architect, he designed the buildings of the Austrian National Bank, the Chamber of
Commerce and the Temple of Heroes (all in Vienna), a department store at Troppau, the parish church
in Bielitz and the Boster family’s chateau at Kolin. He also designed interiors and furniture. Between
1913 and 1919 he taught at Vienna’s Academy.
