Barbedienne, Ferdinand (1810 - 1892)

French master, active mostly as bronze founder. As a young artist, he mainly engaged in making copies of Renaissance bronze statues produced in Italy and France; later he established a prestigious shop in Paris, which sold works of applied art - mostly in the Historicist style - created by the company he established.
