Writing cabinet

The cabinet stands on four prismatic legs. The edges of the prismatic cabinet are cut, and inlaid with dark and light motifs, imitating cannelures. They end in bronze decoration. The cannelures are broken with an inlaid square in the middle. The bottom part of the cabinet has two doors, with fields showing diagonal inlays („frisage”- technique, i.e. motifs given by the lengthwise cut of the wood). The outside of the folding flap is decorated with a field of similar decoration. It hides six small drawers and five compartments. There is a drawer below the marble top its panel shows a field of fishbone motifs, framed by straps. The decoration of the sides is identical with that of the drawer panel.
