The three lathe-turned legs are joined by a circular sewing box. The top of the table is curved, irregularly wavy, decorated with intarsia: a bunch of violets in a vase and the referring inscription (probably a detail from a Parisian chanson of that time): ELLE SOURIT CHARME ET PARFUME / VIOLETTE DE LA MAISON.
