A round clock, enclosed by a repousse, egg-and-dart frame. The central part is enframed by a pierced, square-shaped sticks, enriched with a tympanum of a mask, acanthus leaves and fruit garlands at the top, a small mask at the bottom and a cupid on each side. The dial is enamelled in white, with black numbers. This typically Neo-Renaissance clock was made in one of the most well-known bronze foundries of the 19th century, marked by the activity of the Barbediénne dynasty in Paris.
