The bulging, egg-shaped body stands on a straight, circular foot. Its small, narrow neck ends in a plain, circular, splaying top. There is a romantic landscape all over the surface: a small lake of greens and browns over the dark yellow base, reflecting the contours of the bushes around. Three ducklings swim in the lake, with large, leafy trees on its swampy shore. The sunset sky is reddish. The sensitive patch-like execution of the picture is unified by a homogeneous brown at the bottom and top part of the vase.
