The tube-like body starts from a broad foot, narrowing towards the top, ending in a slightly splaying top rim. The whole surface is covered with a relief landscape of light and darker reddish brown against a green base, enriched with a beetle and a bee. The surface is marbled or spotted with yellow at places. There is a relief-like inscription around the circular foot: «Les arbres se parlent tout bas» (Victor Hugo). The piece described above belongs to the series «Verreries Parlantes» (Talking Glasses).
