The intertwined ribbons create a network of stars. White, turquoise, yellow and manganese colours. The pattern is complete when four tiles are fitted together. Companion pieces can be found in the collection of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts (Cat.No.129) Other analogues with "email en relief' decoration are published by Fower (1901,pl.XXI, pict.4.). There are several similar tiles in the Kunstgewerbemuseum in Cologne, which were made in the late 15th or early 16th century in Seville or Toledo.
