The bun-shaped body is decorated with polychrome chinoiserie of figures and flowers. The bottom and top rim of the body have gilt borders. The handle and the lip are also gilt the latter has a relief mask of a faun below. Its domed cover with a golden rim is decorated with flowers. The pot is marked on the bottom, with the blue marking of the Meissen porcelain works: K P M. It was referred to as being a "Böttger-piece" by Vince Wartha. The painting and the chinoiserie scenes suggest, however, that it was made in the period of Johann Georg Höroldt.
