A folkloric genre with calm atmosphere, lacking all the typical ornaments of the traditional folklore. The use of colour patches: grayish purple, purple pink, crimson, mustard green, orange and dark blue, the decorative composition of different layers one on-top of the other, as well as the dynamic outlines of the shapes are typical of Art Nouveau pieces. This tapestry was exhibited in the Hungarian pavilion of the International Applied Arts Exhibition in Torino (1902). After the exhibition, the designer, János Vaszary was awarded a diplome d'honneur, the weaver, Sarolta Kovalszky, a silver medal. An identical tapestry can be found in the collection of the Hungarian National Gallery.
