Tankard with cover

The Neo-Baroque tankard stands on four masked feet that were applied later. Three of the feet are surmounted by a sitting, relief child figure playing the accordion. There is an applied decoration of lobes and grape clusters in between. The thick, splaying rim of the foot shows a child's head in a four-lobed frame, enclosed with leaves against a punched background. The cylindrical body depicts the triumph march of Bacchus, riding a wheel cart with two horses and two cupi figures. The handle is scrolled, with a marked and shielded tumbler. The lid is joined by four ribs, decorated with children head rising out of four cartouches. Bacchus sits in the centre, holding a cluster of grapes in his right.
