Corner tile. The square-shaped front is divided into two fields. The one on the left depicts a mermaid in an arched architectural framework of columns and herms, surmounted by a winged angel head. The one on the right shows half of a bearded male figure in an arched architectural framework of columns and herms, surmounted by a winged angel head. The one on the right shows half of a bearded male figure in an arched framework of columns and herms, he represents Samson, and holds a jawbone in his hand. In the background a city can be seen. The upper corners are decorated with winged angel heads and fruits. The side joins the front at the perpendicular it is decorated with a stylized acanthus flower springing from a vase of masks, surmounted by a winged angel head. Companion piece: Inv. No. 52.3645.
