The gothic-type picture in a square frame depicts the bust in profile of a man in colourful medieval clothing, looking to the left, with a helmet in front of him. Its companion shows a young female bust in profile, dressed in colourful medieval clothing, looking to the right, with a statuette of the Virgin in front of her. Both glass paintings are framed by black-stained pine. The pictures show the influence of the Morris and Company workshop, especially the works of William Morris and Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882).
