Spoon: the reverse of the ladle is engraved with a coat of arms: a quartered shield with fussily first and third quartes. The other two quarters are per bend, with a trimount in each half. The arms are surmounted by the monogram WL. Fork: three-pronged. The long join of the handle is decorated with chiselled motifs of volute pairs and rolls. It was probably this cutlery that was mentioned in the 1725 inventory of the treasures of Pál Esterházy: A silver-gilt fork and spoon, without a knife, both with coral handles (cf. Inventarium Thesauri Fraknensis Anno 1725. Almarium Sub Nris 54 et 55. Nro. 16. – IM Archives 236/1957). Contemporary cutlery with similar decoration and handle can be found in the Grünes Gewölbe Collection in Dresden - they are attributed to German masters of 1600.
