The oval box caricatures abuses in the life and fashion of the nobility. The cover has a scene a lady's hair being styled. The lady is sitting in a chair lined with cushions, holding a mirror in front of her the hairdresser combs her hair, standing on a ladder, which is supported by a parapet. To the right is a man, holding curling irons in his right hand. The inside of the cover is also decorated with an ironical picture: a lady, wearing a dress with a low neckline, is walking in a field the long tail of the dress is pushed along behind her in a wheelbarrow. The sides show the following pictures: a dallying couple, sitting in front of a parapet, with a masked figure peeping out from a tree a flying parrot, with the ribbon inscription "AMOR" in its beak a man, sitting on a rock in a shrubbery, smoking a pipe and reading a book. The scene on the bottom is faded and worn: a lady sitting on a rock, with a frog in front of her and a tower behind. The scenes are coloured in red, blue, green, yellow and mangane.
