A black plinth appears against a greyish-green background, decorated with opposing golden scrolls, giving the base for a mythological scene. Venus takes away the arrow of Amor, thus punishing him for his love for Psyche. A double arch of foliage joins the volutes of the plinth, with kissing doves and vivid polychrome, bunches of roses on both sides. The arched frame is enriched with a flower dish, decorated with garlands. It contains blue, yellow, and brown flowers. Another plinth, accompanied with symmetrical volutes, springs from the dish, holding a round silver medallion, which shows a panther drawing a triumphal cart with Amor on its back. The medallion is surrounded by parrots holding strings of pearls, flying butterflies and peacocks holding leafy boughs.
