Printed in red and yellow over a discharged indigo base. The fabric is decorated with twined, scrolling leafy-flowery spiral tendrils, enriched with three parallel wavy lines of tulips with smaller and larger blossoms. The pattern was registered on 21st September, 1885, its wallpaper version is known as «Garden Tulip». Further companion pieces can be found in the William Morris Gallery, Walthamstow -Inv.No. F17, in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, as well as in the collection of the Zurich Kunstgewerbemuseum (Inv.No. 6432). The original design of the pattern is now in the City Museum and Art Gallery of Birmingham, the sketch is in the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow.
