Around 1900, Árpád Basch designed two picture postcard series depicting women. On one there are figures of various nationalities, the other show fantasy figures with interesting head-dresses. On the basis of their sensuality, delicate lines, decorative patches and, stylized ornaments, Basch's works can be related to the art of Alfons Mucha, a well-known graphic designer.
