The widening, lobed shape of the two plates that can be slid on each other resembles an upturned, bent flower cup. The top plate is decorated with a woman's portrait looking to the right, enframed by three long, up-reaching flower stems and leaves. The eyes of the woman are closed, her loosely pinned hair is enriched with flowers. The central enamelled field of the background is coloured light green, light blue and red. Sliding the top plate to the right, the identically shaped bottom plate appears, with a mirror inside.
