The widening body of the vase is supported by a short, cylindrical foot that rests on four cut-out legs. A narrow standing rim runs along the top. The body is glazed blue painted with pâte-sur-pâte technique, showing a spiral, leaved tree branch that divides into two, three double, geometrical circles painted with polychrome enamel over-glaze, containing gilt star and line motifs. The foot and the neck are painted in gold and black with lines and spots. The shape, the decoration and the technique follow Japanese models.
