It probably gained its present form when the fragments of a 16th century tablecloth were further decorated in the 18th century with lace on the shorter edges. Five motifs are repeated on the cloth between the columns twined with leafy boughs and tendrils. On one is a Princess and a leaping deer on the two sides of a fountain, with pelicans above them on the other is a knight in feathered helmet with acorned tendrils above him on the third is a Princess and a figure sitting on a tendril on the two sides of a fountain, the fourth shows St George killing the dragon the fifth shows two human or animal figures sitting on both sides of a fountain on tendrils. As yet no models or similar pieces to this tablecloth have been found.
