The rectangular, cut mirror is placed in a broad ceramic frame with a colourful, relief narrative scene. A young woman rests her elbows on the rim of the mirror, wearing a small coronet, as if talking to the prancing deer on the other side. One of the deer has a small antler. The outside border of the frame is decorated with bent berry-laden boughs with large thorns. The yellow glaze is painted with transparent, patch-shaded green, light and dark brown coloured glazes, covered with a thin metallic lustre, which gives the motifs a purplish reflection.
