The wavy rim of the deep, round plate is lined by roses on a gold base the surface is decorated with a painted landscape of ruins. On the bottom is an inscription „Reste d une Edifice antique” and the crowned marking of the Petersburg factory, in blue under glaze, forming the initials of Katherine II.
