The splayed bowl stands on a narrow, rimmed base. The narrowing neck is cylindrical, the upper rim set in tin. The handle is fixed to the neck and the top of the bowl. Decorated with string motifs on the top and around the neck. The bowl has stylized rose stem motifs, repeated four times, in diagonal arrangements. Painted in blue and red on a white base. In earlier guides and catalogues of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts this piece was listed as an ivory glass jug. It was Imre Katona who showed that the transparent glass was covered with a lead glaze and that its decoration shows a close similarity to one type of Haban pottery (cf. Katona 1983a pp. 64-65).
