The decoration of the front and back plates is identical: the rich ornaments of interlacing ribbons fill the space between the central, empty cartouche and the outer geometrical frame, in the manner of sixteenth century French bindings. The compartments of the spine with five bands show geometrical interlaces. The endpaper is marbled with comb in red, blue and yellow, the headband is sewn of brown, green and white silk thread. Gilt tool.
