The steel blade of the knife ends in a blunt point its end is joined to the handle by a gilt copper setting that is decorated with a monster's head. The handle is baluster-shaped it consists of four drilled crystal parts of prismatic, round and egg shapes. The crystals are separated by jagged gilt copper leaves. The copper finial also serves as a fastening button.
The gilt, three-pronged fork (Inv.Nr. 3097) is decorated with volutes at the join to the handle it is actually joined by a knob of six sides. The crystal handle is identical with that of the knife. A similar piece is in the collection of the Hungarian National Museum.
