The front is enframed by a ramose tendril starting from the right bottom corner, creating a picture field that is shaped like the number 2. The field is decorated with a couple dressed in historical Hungarian clothing, riding a horse, falcon-hunting. According to the statement kindly referred by Katalin Gellér, the two figures are portraits of the artist and his wife. There are the initials of Sándor Nagy at the back hooves of the horse. On the back, the tendril motif of the front appears alone, filling the whole surface with some excessive loops. According to previous inventory books the painting was originally red and brown. Inside, there is a straight compartment on the left and a curved one on the right, including a detachable paper holder.
