The elegant round mirror has a silver-gilt frame adorned with semi-precious stones, the back flat chased and engraved. Two serpent-shaped projections from the slender handle provide additional support to the mirror itself. We should probably identify this with a Turkish mirror with turquoises that appeared in the 1642 inventory of Erzsébet Thurzó's property at Fraknó, made after her death, and was also mentioned in Pál Esterházy's will of 1685 - "a mirror with turquoises, which used to belong to the vizier of Buda".
