Decorated with a scene from the Old Testament in an oval field on the two sides: The Death of Absalom.
The scene is enclosed by columns and herms. There is a majuscule inscription on the lower part in a rectangular field: ABSOLON SEIN VATER VER/FOLGET HEDT AM BAUM BLEIBT / HANGEN WIRD GEDÖDT.
The scene follows those of the Bible illustrations made in 16th-century Germany.
