Made for a tournament. The metal plates applied on the sewn velvet of the five fingers gauntlet make possible the moving of the wrist, finger and knuckles. The surface of it is covered with false precious stones and applied fittings. On the basis of the description, the gauntlet belonging to the armoury in the possession of Ödön Batthyany- Strattmann, in 1896, in the castle of Kormend, is an analogous piece.
