This tazza was modelled on footed fruit trays that were popular in Late Renaissance. The domed, jointed foot is decorated with embossed leaves and foliage a kneeling child figure at the foot holds the ribbed tray. The rim is leaved the handle is enriched with a winged cupid standing on a balluster-shaped post, holding a wreath that ends in a bunch.
