The round, jointed foot is surmounted by a narrowing, cylindrical body of chiselled Neo-Renaissance ornament. The sides are line at the bottom with small consoles standing on bearded, distorted heads, supporting seven applied allegorical figures and their attributes, with an inscription: LVNA, MERCVRIVS, VENVS, SOL, MARS, IVPPITER, SATVRNVS. Some of the inscriptions are covered partly or totally by the figure standing in front of it. The background of the figures is a compartment with foliage, enclosing a winged seraph head. The double-scroll handle of the tankard has stylised ornaments: a herm and a distorted head.

At the top, there is Bacchus as a child, sitting on a barrel, holding a beaker in his right. The folding lid is decorated with alternating lion heads and stylised fruits. The inside of the cover shows an enamelled coat of arms, with the date 1510, an arrow and the initials F S. A large silver coin is soldered in the bottom of the tankard, with 1695 date, a coat of arms and an inscription running all round: ARCHIDVX / AVSTRIAE / DVX /BVR / COM /TYRO: 1695. On it other side, it depicts Emperor Leopold, shown in right profile, enclosed by the inscription LEOPOLDVS : G : ROM : IMP. SA : GE : HV : BO : REX.
