The eight-lobed shape of the large plate can already be found among the 1887 drawings (see Façon book I, p.38, No. 1024). The décor motifs, on the other hand, represent new artistic trends. The surface is divided into eight divisions, with stylized linear, floral patterns over the concave centre and the protruding segments. The alternating tulip and forget-me-not bunches are repeated four times around the surface. The yellow and gray shades of silver and platinum oxides over the copper oxide ruby lustre base are quite stunning. The lightest contours achieved by using a special protection cover during the reduction firing. It is obvious from the geometric ornaments on the rim that German models were used for the decoration.
