The four corners of the antique frame printed in blue with the coat of arms of Hungary, enclosed by laurel wreath and place in a circle. The middle of the sides shows the portrait of Francis-Joseph I (1848-1916) with laurel wreath, enclosed by a leaved fruit wreath twined by ribbons. The centre is decorated with the perspective view of the Industry Hall of the national exhibition, printed in black, surmounted by the ÉLJEN A HAZA (Long Live the Nation) and Budapesti Áltálanos ország/kiállitási emléke 1885 (A souvenir from the comprehensive national exhibition in Budapest, 1885) inscriptions. The copper-printed picture of the Industry Hall was published in Vasárnapi Újság (Sunday Magazine), Vol.32/1885, No.14, p.227. Another variant of the kerchief, printed in red, can be found in the collection of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts (Inv.No. 80.464.1).
