Door lock - the allegory of Sculpture

Lying rectangular plaque, applied separately over an octagonal knob lock mechanism of two parts. The relief on the plaque shows the bust of a young girl with tied hair, looking to the left, holding a chisel in her hand - the allegory of Sculpture. The door locks with plaques were exhibited at the 1898 exhibition of Modem Arts in the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts, together with the objects of Inv.Nos. 10.502 and 10.503 - they were purchased at that time. The copies of the plaques, without the door lock, can be found in the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest, Inv.No. 66-4 P (Painting) and Inv.No. 66-5 P (Sculpture).
