The pear-shaped body stands on a triple, ringed plinth. The vase ends in a short top rim its surface is covered by a stained glaze of brown, red, blue, black and violet-grey, enriched with tiny leafed boughs. The top rim and the foot are lined with stylized, golden foliage. About the dish, Jenő Radisics stresses that «Gallé succeeded in creating transparent yet convex enamel colours that are fired - most extraordinarily - over a golden base».
