The surface of the round plate is straight, flat the slightly splaying rim is plain. The rim lets the whiteness of the original material appear under the pattern of the blue shapeless patches and the pink-green-pink rows of tiny waves. The surface shows abstract flower heads in a circle, against a spotted blue base, enclosing tiny, loose, green leaf-like patches. The shape of the plate was designed as a part of the dish set No. 431, in 1877. The pattern is not listed in any of the Zsolnay factory Décor books.
